Data We Collect

FishingAngles may collect the following categories of data:

• Location — precise GPS coordinates when you log a catch or use map features, used solely to record and display your fishing spots.
• Photos — images you attach to catch entries, stored in your private account and not shared without your consent.
• User content — notes, species names, weights, and other details you enter into the app.
• User ID — an anonymous identifier created at account creation, used to sync your data across devices.

How We Use Your Data

Your data is used to provide and improve the FishingAngles service, including syncing your catch records across devices and displaying your fishing history. We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

Opt-In Heatmap

If you choose to opt in, anonymized location data may be contributed to a community heatmap showing popular fishing areas. This feature is disabled by default and can be toggled in Settings.

Opt-In Crash Reports

With your consent, anonymized crash and diagnostic reports may be sent to help us improve app stability. This can be enabled or disabled in Settings.

Account Deletion

You may delete your account and all associated data at any time by navigating to Settings → Account → Delete Account within the app. Deletion is permanent and irreversible.
